Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker Has Added Former Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom Partners

Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker has added former Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom partners Jeff Randall, Allan Soobert and Jeff Pade to its IP practice. Randall will co-chair the firm’s global IP practice with Joseph M O’Malley, Jr.


Randall will be resident in the firm’s Palo Alto and Washington, DC, offices; Soobert and Pade will both be based in Washington, DC. The team specializes in patent litigation.


“Strengthening our intellectual property litigation practice is an important strategic goal of the firm,” said Jamie Wareham, global chair of the firm’s litigation practice. “Patent litigation work continues to be a growing practice area.”


Randall has a national litigation practice emphasises patent litigation. He has won more than 30 jury trials, has argued at more than 20 Markman hearings and has handled numerous appeals before the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the California Supreme Court.
