Rocker Joan Jett Trademark Infringement Is Now Settled
Issued: May 16 2014Rocker Joan Jett has settled her trademark infringement lawsuit against the owners of a popular lingerie brand.
In 2013, the singer claimed bosses at the US retailer, Hot Topic, had ripped off her Blackheart Records name rights by calling their sexy new underwear collection Blackheart and advertising it as "lingerie for girls who rock and roll".
But, according to legal news website Law360.com, Los Angeles Judge Denise Cote recently approved a joint motion from both parties to end the proceedings.
No further details have been released, but Jett was demanding unspecified damages and an injunction to ban further sales of the namesake undergarments, according to Tmz.com.
