DLA Piper has opened its new office in Seoul on January 8, 2013, after South Korea’s Ministry of Justice granted approval for the firm to practice international law.

“Opening an office in Korea brings us a step closer to a full business service offering in every major economic hub across Asia Pacific,” said Bob Charlton, DLA Piper’s managing director for Asia Pacific. “As the fourth largest economy in Asia, Korea will play a central role in DLA Piper’s continued growth.” The Seoul office will be led by country managing partner Daniel Lee.
