Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton Opens New Office

Issued: February 01 2013

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton has opened an office in Shanghai. Kenneth Chang, an IP lawyer who has practiced for more than 10 years in the firm’s Denver, Colorado, office, will serve as managing partner of its Shanghai office. Charles Gray, an intellectual property associate in the firm’s Denver office, also has relocated permanently to Shanghai.

Chang focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling. He has extensive experience litigating matters concerning semiconductor processing and equipment, circuitry design, software and medical devices both in Federal Court and before the US International Trade Commission. He has substantial experience representing the interests of Asian clients in US litigation, as well as negotiating settlements and license agreements on behalf of those companies.

“The Shanghai office creates an outstanding opportunity for growth,” says firm chair Paul Aguggia. “A presence here, along with our offices in Tokyo and Taiwan, is critical to giving direct access to the region’s key markets.”
