Prudence Jahja Named Partner at Januar Jahja & Partners
Issued: May 09 2016Januar Jahja & Partners is delighted to announce that Prudence Jahja has been named partner at the firm effective immediately.
Currently co-‐head of the firm’s International Department, Jahja has been with JJP for 10 years over the course of two separate periods. Jahja first worked at JJP from 2006 to 2009 as a junior associate and then associate. From 2009-‐2012, she received her Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) in Munich, Germany and worked for IP firms in Munich, Germany and New York City, as well as for the Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, DC.
Jahja returned to JJP full-‐time in 2012 and has since taken up key roles in prosecution and litigation matters for both international and domestic clients. She specializes in trademark prosecution and trademark cancellation actions, as well as advising clients on enforcement and anti-‐counterfeiting issues, including website takedowns.
Both a licensed Indonesian attorney and registered IP Consultant, Jahja’s work has received a steady stream of accolades over the years, appearing as a Ranked/Recommended Attorney in Legal 500, WTR 1000, and Chambers Asia-‐ Pacific, among others. She is a frequent author on Indonesian intellectual property law and also serves as an expert for the ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk.
