Dr George Chan Has Joined Rouse International
Issued: March 01 2009Dr George Chan has joined IP consultancy Rouse International as a consultant in its Beijing office. He was formerly a partner at Kangxin Partners.
Chan will join a team of IP consultants advising the firm’s foreign clients on Chinese IP law. His expertise is wide-ranging, and includes the strategic use of trademark and patent applications; bad faith domain name registration disputes; all matters related to trademarks, patents, and copyright; and multi-national due diligence.
Prior to his legal career, Chan was a medical researcher specialising in stem cell biology and osteoporosis, a key area within Rouse’s practice. He is a member of the Ontario Bar (Canada), and sits on the International Trademark Association’s Asia Pacific/Canada subcommittee.
