Yulchon has announced that two former judges have joined the firm as partners practicing intellectual property.

Jeong Yeol Choe is a former judge who served in several district courts, including the Incheon, Seoul, and Kunsan district courts. Before joining Yulchon, he also served as a professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute and as a patent court judge. Choe, who graduated from Seoul National University, has authored several dissertations on copyright and patent law and has written patent law institution material as a professor for the Judicial Research and Training Institute and served on the patent attorney examination board.

Kum Ju Son is a former judge who served in several courts, including the Suwon, Seoul, Suncheon, and Dongbu district courts. He received an LLB and a Master of Laws degree from Seoul National University and is a member of the Center for Law & Technology and the Korea Association for Infomedia Law. He has extensive legal experience in the areas of intellectual property, antitrust and competition, real estate and construction, telecommunications and broadcasting, and litigation.
