KASS International Has Opened Office In Singapore
Issued: September 01 2009Kuala Lumpur-based KASS International has opened an office in Singapore to oversee and coordinate the firm’s operations in the region. “Singapore is a natural location for housing our regional office, as it is already a gateway for companies looking to expand in Southeast Asia,” said P Kandiah, the firm’s managing director.
Kandiah said the opening of the firm’s Singapore office was prompted largely by the increasing demand for IP services in Southeast Asia. “Appreciation for IP and the need for IP services have grown tremendously over the last few years, both within the Southeast Asian countries and by foreign applicants coming to this region,” he said. “In Singapore alone, registered patents have risen 22% from 7,908 in 2003 to 9,692 in 2008.”
