Issued: February 01 2010
Jun Wei, a Hogan & Hartson partner based in Beijing, has been named to the board of the combined Hogan & Hartson and Lovells law firm. The board will assume its responsibilities on May 1, when the combination becomes effective.

The Hogan Lovells board will have supervisory responsibility for overseeing the affairs of the firm, but without executive responsibility for strategy, management, and operating decisions. It will provide input to the firm’s co-chief executive officers and the firm’s international management committee. Wei will serve on the 12-member board until April 2013.

Wei is co-managing partner of Hogan & Hartson’s Greater China practice and chief representative of the Beijing office.

Her practice focuses on intellectual property, technology transfer law, corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and project financing. She previously served in the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Chinese National People’s Congress, where she was a key member in the drafting and interpretation of many Chinese business and investment laws.
