Daniel Plane Has Joined Corrs Chambers Westgarth

Daniel Plane has joined Corrs Chambers Westgarth as a senior overseas legal adviser in its intellectual property, technology and competition practice in Melbourne.

Plane was most recently chair of the Asia IP practice of Gide Loyrette Nouel in Hong Kong and previously managed the Asia-Pacific anti-counterfeiting program of LVMH Fashion Group (which includes the Louis Vuitton brand) from Hong Kong and Nokia’s Europe, Middle East and Africa program from Helsinki.

Plane’s intellectual property practice covers the full range of brand protection issues, including anti counterfeiting, customs, litigation and commercial IP matters.

He is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and as an attorney in the US state of Wisconsin.

In addition to handling IP matters in Australia, Plane will also be advising Corrs’ clients on Asia-Pacific IP strategy, particularly focusing on IP protection and enforcement in China.
