Simone Mitchell has joined K&L Gates as a partner in its Sydney office. She joins from DLA Piper. Mitchell has extensive experience representing clients in multi-jurisdictional intellectual property disputes and advising on IP management strategies. In particular, she has acted in a large number of patent infringement and revocation cases involving various inventions, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, packaging, chemistry, mining, and plants. Her work also covers advising on the regulatory framework for therapeutic goods in Australia, including clinical trials, pricing and reimbursement, promotional disputes, and product recalls.
