Nixon Peabody and CWL Partners, a leading local law firm in Hong Kong, have agreed to consolidate operations and marketing in Hong Kong as of October 1. This combination dramatically expands Nixon Peabody’s presence in Asia with more than 30 lawyers and legal professionals. The combined firm will now be known as Nixon Peabody CWL in Hong Kong, but will remain as Nixon Peabody in the US, Europe and in the firm’s Shanghai office. The two firms have been formally associated with each other since 2010. Distinct and legally independent from Nixon Peabody LLP, Nixon Peabody CWL will remain a solicitors’ firm in the form of a Hong Kong general partnership, but be a part of Nixon Peabody’s brand platform.
