Asia intellectual property specialist firm Schmitt & Orlov has announced plans to expand in the ASEAN region with the opening of an office in Vientiane. The Vientiane ofice is set to open in March and will be aimed at servicing the irm’s growing demand in the region focusing on the registration and enforcement of intellectual rights. The ofice will be managed by the irm’s regional director Vanja Kovacevic, who will be assisted by Xavier Baris and Ngoc Pham. Kovacevic already coordinates the irm’s ofices in Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as operations throughout the region.

Kovacevic says the irm also plans to open an ofice in Myanmar by the end of 2015.
