Rouse has been appointed by Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property to register and prosecute 47 Thai geographical indications in the EU covering great and heteroclite varieties of Thai genetic resources ranging from pineapple to wine. Thailand is regarded as the most active country in Southeast Asia in protecting and promoting its geographical indications (GI) locally and internationally, some of which have gained international recognition like Thai silk and Hom Mali rice.
