Singhania, Rajani Merge to Create National Firm

Issued: January 09 2014

Mumbai-based Rajani Associates and Delhi-based Singhania & Partners have merged to create a full service national law firm in India. The combination brings together Singhania’s strong practices in dispute resolution, intellectual property, infrastructure, cross-border transaction and foreign direct investments with Rajani’s strong presence in capital markets, private equity, M&A and dispute resolution.

The merged firm is jointly managed by the founders of the former firms, Ravi Singhania and Prem Rajani. Both firms bring client bases of large and medium businesses, multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, funds, public sector undertakings, ministries and government authorities.

This merger is part of both our growth stories,” said Singhania. “Through our combined expertise and extended reach, we aim to have leadership in all jurisdictions and practice areas where we have office; and unlock the present and potential professional opportunities propelling growth.”

Rajani called the merger a “coming together” of two leading firms with expertise in different practice areas. “With individual strengths as well as a number of common strengths, we will leverage our commonalities thereby creating a value proposition for all our clients.”
