Weishi Li Has Joined Covington & Burling As Partner

Weishi Li has joined Covington & Burling as a partner in the corporate office. Li will be based in Shanghai when the office opens. She is expected to bolster the firm’s global transactional and IP capabilities in the life sciences and technology sectors.
 
Li’s practice covers a wide range of technology transactions and IP related advice. She has significant experience representing multinational and Chinese companies in structuring and negotiating cross-border IP and technology-related transactions and has represented numerous companies in the life sciences sector, focusing on licensing, strategic alliances and joint venture arrangements.
 
In February 2012, Covington added a five-lawyer corporate team to its Beijing and Silicon Valley offices, including Eva Wang, who will also be resident in the Shanghai office.
