The Harry Elias Partnership (HEP) has announced the appointment of partner Brian Law as its regional head of IP as the firm continues expansion into key jurisdictions across Southeast Asia and beyond. Law will be responsible for establishing the new IP practice in HEP’s Brunei office, where he will work alongside newly-recruited associate Esther Wee in the Brunei and Singapore offices. In Malaysia, Law will co-lead the team with IP practice lead Suaran Singh Sidhu of Azri, Lee Swee Seng & Co. Together they will oversee six IP lawyers, including recent recruit Chai Pei Yee. Law joins from Wong & Partners the Baker & McKenzie member firm in Malaysia.
