Kenneth Choy Has Joined Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge As Partner
Issued: January 01 2011Kenneth Y Choy has joined US based Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge (EAPD) as partner. Choy will base his practice in EAPD’s associated Hong Kong office, Lister Swartz. Choy, who joins EAPD from King & Wood, is an intellectual property practitioner who has advised international companies on the enforcement of IP rights and the resolution of commercial disputes. The former chief legal officer of an international technology group in China, Choy has considerable experience in licensing, distribution, agency, franchising and branding matters. “The growth of our Hong Kong office is a strategic priority for EAPD, particularly in areas like IP and business law, which are core strengths of the firm,” said Walter GD Reed, managing partner of EAPD. With the arrival of Choy and John Lo, a corporate lawyer who also joined from King & Wood, EAPD’s Hong Kong office has welcomed three lateral partners in the past five months.
