Aaron Patience Now Leads Simmons & Simmons In Tokyo

Aaron Patience, a corporate and commercial lawyer who focuses on transactions with an important IP element, has been named to lead the Tokyo office of Simmons & Simmons. He is expected to join the firm in Autumn 2018. Patience has spent the majority of his career working in the Simmons & Simmons Tokyo office and moves back from New Zealand-based Kensington Swan, where he has been working since 2016 as head of the Japan practice. With over 12 years’ experience in cross-border investment involving Japan, his expertise lies in assisting Japanese corporates investing (and divesting) in Europe, APAC and the Middle East. He also works with international corporates investing into Japan. He specializes in transactions with an important IP element, particularly in the TMT and life sciences sectors; two of the firm’s four core priority sectors.
