2014 China-ASEAN Intellectual Property Training Seminar Launched in Beijing

The 2014 China-ASEAN Intellectual Property Training Seminar has been launched in Beijing. Twenty trainees from 10 ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat participate in the training.
   
SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Zhimin addressed the training seminar. He said that since the signing of "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between China and ASEAN in Intellectual Property" in 2009, China and ASEAN countries have been deepening cooperation on intellectual property. This is conducive to the improvement and development of the intellectual property systems in China and ASEAN countries, the enhancement of their sci-tech innovation ability, the promotion of their economy and economic and trade exchanges, and the consolidation and deepening of China-ASEAN strategic partnership. The State Intellectual Property Office is ready to continue increasing mutual understanding and consensus and further strengthening cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat and the central intellectual property offices of all ASEAN countries.
   
This training seminar is organized by SIPO, China Intellectual Property Training Center and Qingdao Municipal Intellectual Property Office. It will be held in Beijing and Qingdao successively. The training seminar's purpose is to promote China-ASEAN communication in the dissemination and utilization of patent information, the patent examination of cloud system, the enterprise intellectual property management, and the local intellectual property administration.
