Anaqua Releases New Data that Shows Which of Your Patents are Blocking Competitors

Issued: September 07 2017

On September 6, 2017, Anaqua, Inc., a leading provider of intellectual property management and analytics software and services, announced the release of a revolutionary patent intelligence data tool, Forward Examiner Rejections, which enables companies to identify which of their patents are blocking competitors’ new inventions.

The new functionality, available in Anaqua’s AcclaimIP, will allow corporations to review which of their patents are potentially being infringed upon by competitors. In addition, it informs companies which of their patents may be useful in cross licensing, which may be fenced in by competitors, and which may require additional continuations to protect their technology space.

“Prior to Anaqua’s release of Forward Examiner Rejection data, determining who your patents blocked was not just difficult, but effectively impossible, requiring data mining of thousands of office actions every week,” said Matt Troyer, Director of Patent Analytics at Anaqua. “With the release of this new capability, patent owners and their law firms have the information required to assess which patents have strategic value to the business, and which may no longer be relevant.”

Anaqua’s AcclaimIP is the only patent analytics software available in the market today that combines forward rejection data with full access to USPTO file wrapper documents, giving users all the pieces of the puzzle to put together a patent strategy.

“Our new functionality is a game changer for the IP market,” said Bob Romeo, CEO of Anaqua. “There are many patent search and analytics tools in the market, but AcclaimIP is the only product available today that can tell you how your IP is blocking competitors’ IP activity. Plus it’s relevant to all patent filers around the world because any individual or organization that files in the US can take advantage of the insight that comes from our Forward Examiner Rejection data.”

Forward Examiner Rejections is the first of many product releases that Anaqua will bring to the market this year. The company is scheduled to unveil a variety of new product enhancements.
