Paul Brinkman Rejoins Kirkland & Ellis As Partner
Issued: November 30 2017Paul Brinkman, a top practitioner before the US International Trade Commission, has rejoined Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in the firm’s Washington office. Brinkman rejoins Kirkland from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. He focuses on Section 337 litigation and has won 17 of 19 trials before the ITC. He has represented companies in patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation and false advertising cases involving a variety of technologies, including smartphones and semiconductors, and other industries ranging from steel to textiles. Several of these trials have involved customs disputes, and he has maintained a close relationship with US Customs and Border Protection.
